Where are you located?
I work out of my home office in Seattle WA.
How do I make an appointment?
Contact me first by phone, email, text or through the contact form on this website. We'll do an initial consultation over the phone or email exchange, whichever is best for you. If you are in the Seattle area I am available to meet face to face. I can travel to you or arrange a local meeting space.
What if I'm not in your local area?
Working remotely is not a problem. Historically, most of my clients have been outside of the Seattle area. We can handle all of our conversations over the phone or email and exchange documents over the internet or through the mail. I've worked with revenue officers and auditors across the country over the phone and "through correspondence". Working remotely with the IRS often helps cases move through more efficiently because it cuts out the lengthy and intimidating face to face meetings with auditors and revenue officers. Visit my Contact page to see more options for contacting me or sending documents.
What are your fees?
I bill on a flat fee basis. After our initial conversation I will give you a fee quote and send a scope of services and engagement letter. My typical caseload is mixture of both complicated cases and some easier ones, so my fees fall into a pretty big range depending on what each case requires. Ballpark numbers would be:
Tax Preparation - Min Fee: $100/yr ; Typical range: $300-750/year ; Complex: $1000+
Collections Representation - Min fee: $500 ; Typical range: $1200-$2500 ; Complex: $5000+
Audit Representation - Min fee: $250/yr ; Typical range: $750/yr ; Complex: $3000+/yr
All fees are negotiable and I will generally discount the per year tax preparation rate if you are having me prepare multiple years at once to get caught up. If you need multiple services, like a tax preparation and collections combo, we can work out a package deal that covers everything for less that what I would charge for each service individually.
How do you keep my personal data safe?
Client data security is very important to me. First off, I will never share your personal data with any other person or company without your explicit consent (a referral situation for example..). I will not try to "monetize" our relationship by pitching you additional products or services other than those Corvid Tax provides. Information you share with me directly is protected by client-privilege (not quite as good as Attorney-client privilege), which generally means I am not obligated to share any of your information with the government except under court order, in specific, limited circumstances. All documents received by Corvid Tax are handled with the upmost care, and in accordance with or exceeding industry best standards. For more information, please see my Data Security page.
